Oliana
is the village which has given its name to one
of the most important reservoirs on the river
Segre, in the western part of the Alt Urgell district.
Our route starts from Andorra, taking a series
of forest tracks through little mountain villages
and showing us the landscape typical of their
agricultural and livestock activities.
The run to Oliana combines tracks with some stretches
of secondary road, with very little traffic and
therefore ideal for riding a trail motorbike.
We lunch at “Cal Petit”, a restaurant
belonging to a well-known Dakar rider, and then
we visit the Motorbike Museum at Bassella, an
exhibition with really unique “jewels”
for enthusiasts of vintage motorbikes.
